Your Choice

The Sun will move into the zero degree mark of Aquarius tomorrow. The whole of Friday the 13th will be the last encounter the Sun has with Makara, the Gatekeeper, this year.

I want to present you two choices.

Scenario 1

Rejection is painful. It leaves you feeling lonely. Sad. Angry. Hating the world. Hating yourself.

And then Saturn offers you a way out.

He says the world works in a certain way.

If you reach the top of the ladder, people will accept anything you do. They will begin to like who you are.

How will you fit in?

And so we try desperately. We start to study what we need to climb the ladder. We work hard. Ignore everything else in our life.

The first few rungs, give us an intoxicating feeling.

But then....

"No Matter Where You Stand On The Ladder"

"Your position is shaky."

Seeking acceptance from people often means giving up on who you are.

Your desires submerged, because there is no space for them to breathe in a world of too many expectations.

Your creative fire long buried. You're so busy performing, you forget who you are.

You feel hollow. People may seem to like you, but you always wonder...why....

Scenario 2

And then Saturn offers you a way out.

He says - Everyone, no matter who they are, deserves their place in the cosmos.

He is the defender of the outcast. The champion of the misfits.

He says the world works in a certain way.

“First, they will ignore you, then they will laugh at you, then they will fight you, then you will win.”

Choose your desires well.

Saturn is Time.

He says don't choose desires that are fleeting. Instant gratification will leave you feeling violated.

Choose the desires that need time. That require patience.

In the beginning it may seem frustrating.

Others may seem to be racing ahead, while you are plodding.

Others are getting things done by the wave of a wand, while you are struggling over and over again, in different ways, trying to find a way to make someone understand.

And then, you learn to be patient with yourself and others, and things change.

Your action becomes your reward.

You simply start enjoying the thing you are doing.

And that changes everything.

You no longer are waiting to be picked.

You choose to stand up for someone instead.

Maybe yourself....

That's a good start.

The Week Ahead

Friday the 13th, the Sun moves out of Capricorn to Aquarius. Aquarius is activated, with Rahu, Mercury, Venus, the Sun, soon to be joined by the Moon and Mars.

14th is of course Valentine's Day.

15th is Mahashivaratri. A day that marks the end of the cold season in South India.

17th is a partial Solar Eclipse. It will be visible only from Antartica, and parts of southern South America and Africa. It is not an intense eclipse, like the one we will have in August this year. However for your reference, the energy of the eclipse will be similar to that of February 2008. What were you doing then? What themes were playing in your life?

From the Gatekeeper we step into the empty center of the pot. Be ready to feel the intense energies of possibility.

Mars, where he is now, will help you get the energy to start a walking routine. Mars, is Bhumisuta, son of the Earth. When you walk, make sure you feel the grounding sensations, while the earth carries you along.
