Open Your Eyes, Look Within
Are You Satisfied With The Life You're Livin ?
APRIL 2026

The basis of science and philosophy in the West has roots in India.
The irony is that Indians scoff at this idea.
Did You Know?
Pythagoras (570 BC) appropriated a theorem from India. And years later in school, in India, we were taught it as The Pythagoras Theorem.
He came here and studied with the gymnosophists. Gymnosophists are naked philosophers. They taught him science and philosophy.
These naked wise men had scant regard for money or fame. They are said to have turned down Alexander the Great himself. When Alexander said he would offer them anything that they asked...they were the OGs who probably asked him to move out of the sunlight.
Pythagoras was introduced to the idea of re-incarnation here.
He also learned astrology. And on his return home spoke of the harmony of the celestial bodies- the music of the cosmos.
Lost In Translation
Towards the end of his life Pythagoras came under disfavor of the court. Soldiers were sent to attack him. He could have escaped. But while running away, he came across a farm growing Fava Beans. Pythagoras had come to believe that these Fava Beans were his ancestors. So he refused to run through the field and cause his Pitrus damage.
By not learning the things that really matter properly, he came to lose his life.
Why Were The Wise Men Naked?
These gymnosophists could have been clothed in the richest of silks. They could have traveled ,all expense paid , to Greece. Alexander had, after all, extended the most respectful of invitations to them. They could've gone just for the fun of it....to see how sleep on a palace bed feels like. To stuff their faces with rich meals.
They could have chosen to write books and name theorems after themselves.
But they chose instead to live in humble surroundings. In obscurity.
Nothing in the outside world seemed of any value or interest to them.
Instead, they chose to live a life, turning inward.
Final Call
We are in the final four or five days of this year.
As I said earlier Pisces, the final house, is not the house of Death. However, it belongs to the Moksha Trikona. The Trine Of Houses that stand for Freedom.
In Pisces a great need to turn away from the world arises.
Perhaps in sorrow, after facing the harsh sides of the world.
Perhaps, in disappointment. "This can't be it....Is this all there is?" A feeling that the map laid out by society is meaningless. The milestones expected from you, are not what you truly want. Or what make you happy.
Perhaps by feeling empty despite having it all...
Perhaps by seeing the madness all around....
Other Worlds
Pisces hosts themes that may seem paradoxical on the surface...but they share the same kind of yearning.
An escape.
An addiction.
Something to make you forget your reality for sometime.
A movie.
Sleep. Dreams. Bed pleasures.
Mental illness. An obsession to control select parts of your reality.
Hallucinations. Delusions.
Also...
Pisces offers an escape through the imagination. Through art. Dance. Music. Poetry.
At Times...
Pisces is the house of isolation.
Of a painful loneliness.
And At Other Times....
Pisces stands for mysticism.
The word mystic comes from the root "to close your eyes" or "to close your mouth".
Where loneliness gives way to Aloneness.
I leave you with two poems to end the year:
Tao Te Ching – Verse 56
Those who know don’t talk.
Those who talk don’t know.
Close your mouth,
block off your senses,
blunt your sharpness,
untie your knots,
soften your glare,
settle your dust.
This is the primal identity.
Be like the Tao.
It can’t be approached or withdrawn from,
benefited or harmed,
honored or brought into disgrace.
It gives itself up continually.
That is why it endures.
Hafiz on Loneliness
Don't surrender your loneliness
So quickly.
Let it cut more deep.
Let it ferment and season you
As few human
Or even divine ingredients can.
Something missing in my heart tonight
Has made my eyes so soft,
My voice
So tender,
My need of God
Absolutely
Clear.
The Week Ahead
Mercury moves into Pisces on the 11th. The house of its debilitation. I know there is a great push by people, with good intentions, to ask you to communicate more. I suggest however while there is so much of energy in Pisces with Mercury, Mars, Sun, Saturn and Neptune...it is better to use the time to turn inward.
Use the energy to make art. Express yourself through metaphor. Be a mystic.
13th, Monday, is an intense day. The Moon moves back into Kumbha, and the Kala Sarpa (Time Snake Coil) is activated again.
Mars and Neptune meet at the same degree. Secrets can be revealed. Hidden intentions can be surfaced.
14th, the Sun moves into Aries. It is the day signalling the New Year.
The Sun will meet Venus in Aries. That's a beautiful way to start the year.
Also this week Venus and Jupiter will be doing a tango, in sextile. It carries renewal energy with it. For the lucky few, who are feeling groovy already, this adds some oomph...
But overall, there is probably a feeling of exhaustion. Take heart. This is shifting. You will most likely feel better soon. Your energy levels will pick up.
How Was Your Year?
Do you remember what you did from 14th April 2025- until now?
Do you feel ready to face the next year?
Any plans?
What's cooking?
How do you feel?
I'm very excited and looking forward. And I wish you four days of peace and quiet.
I wish you a great year ahead.
And I wish you a daily practice of looking within. Even if it's only for a few moments each day.
