I could say that somewhere in the time between June 2028- December 2030 there is a possibility of a catastrophic event that will affect the world at large.
And no one will break a sweat. I look at charts of the times now, and I've never seen such charts before. And I don't bat an eyelid.
We are living in a post apocalyptic era. We have seen too much. Our kids are jaded. Yet we have a strange sense of calm.
But deep below in the murky depths of our subconscious there is a feeling simmering. That grows with every insult heaped on us by the system. It brews every time we see the broken down world around us .
Yet we find a way to smile, shrug it off and reach out.
Out Of Bounds: For Astrology Nerds
There's a window that opened up to us on August 29th, 2025. Pluto went 'out of bounds'. What does that mean? It is when a planet has a declination of more than 23 degrees. What is declination?
Imagine a great big sphere around the earth, a celestial sphere. There is an imaginary line that goes around the center of the earth- called the equator. Now if you stretch the equator out all around so it touches the celestial sphere you would be drawing the celestial equator. This celestial equator splits the celestial sphere in the center. It divides our sky into the northern sky and the southern sky.
One measure of where the planets are positioned, is how north or south they are from the celestial equator. This coordinate range is called the 'declination'. The sun has a declination of approximately 23 degrees north or south of the celestial equator. This is related to the fact that our earth has a tilt of approx. 23 degrees.
In astrology, 'out of bounds' means when a planet's declination exceeds the Sun's declination. When a planet goes more than 23 degrees north or south. This concept is based on the idea that the Sun's declination represents the normal or accepted boundaries for planetary behavior. When a planet steps 'out of bounds', it is said to act in an unrestrained, unconventional or extreme manner.
The Moon goes out of bounds frequently, but planets like Pluto go out of bounds(OOB) very rarely. Ever since its discovery in 1930, by the self taught astronomer and telescope maker, Clyde Tombaugh, Pluto has been OOB once. This was during 1938-1953, years that defined who we are and what we do today.
Pluto will now be OOB from August 2025- 2035. Will things be similar to how they were then?
Let's take a dip into History And A Splash Into The Future.
1938, Hitler was the man of the year according to Time Magazine. Time Magazine dedicated the following years to Mussolini, Stalin and Churchill.
In art Superman was launched. Followed by Batman and Wonder Woman. Clearly we were idealizing a certain kind of personality.
War was everywhere.
Nuclear fission was discovered. U.S dropped the atomic bomb on Japan. Not once but twice. Later the U.S monopoly on nuclear weapons was shattered by the Soviets. There were other developments in Nuclear research. Plutonium was synthesized.. The first nuclear power plant was opened. First hydrogen bomb was tested.
In the medical field streptomycin was isolated and used as an effective antibiotic against tuberculosis. Research was done stating that DNA was the genetic material and not proteins. Later the DNA structure was published. The first polio vaccine invented. Bulk production methods for penicillin become available. First heart surgery, organ transplant and hip replacement surgeries were done. Medical ultra sonography was invented.
In technology the first programmable computer called Z1 was completed by Konrad Zuse. And later Z3 was released. The Information Age was ushered in with the transistor. Companies such as Hewlett Packard and Sony were founded. Radar waves were bounced off the moon.
The first turbojet and operational helicopters are seen. First American television broadcast. First beauty pageant. First bikini.
In archeology, the isotope carbon-14 is discovered and later in that decade Willard Libby used it to develop the technique of carbon dating. Lascaux cave paintings were discovered. The Dead Sea Scrolls were found.
Millions suffered in the wars. India gained independence from the British, as did several other countries around the world. Indonesia gained freedom from the Dutch.
The concept of Human Rights came to be. The Nuremberg trials took place. Perpetrators were hanged. Hitler, Mussolini, Churchill and Stalin die.
Along with the Bretton Woods money system, we also saw the launch of the Diners Club Card. If you are wondering, it worked on a paper based system.

Countries were divided. India, Korea, Palestine and 'The Iron Curtain' descended on Europe. Mao Zedong came to power in China. By now a quarter of the world was under the communist banner.
In a strategic geopolitical move China annexed Tibet. India, then a new country, opened her doors to the Tibetans and the Dalai Lama.
India Focus: What was happening here?
Prior to the arrival of the British, India was a major manufacturing power, accounting for roughly a quarter of the world's industrial output in 1750. The economy was known for its high-quality handicrafts, particularly fine cotton and silk textiles, as well as shipbuilding and steel. After colonial rule India was de industrialized. India became a source of raw materials for British factories and a captive market for their goods.
Britain had lost a lot of its wealth because of World War 1 and The Great Depression. In the decade of the 1930s, Britain exported 1338 Tons of gold out of India. India had also provided large quantities of iron, steel and material for arms manufacture. Early 20th century saw the nascent re-growth of the steel industry and smaller scale industries of sugar and cement. The 1930s saw further growth in Indian industry. Civil disobedience , nationalism and a growing tension in communal politics was seen.
In 1938, there was a rift between the radical supporters of Subhash Chandra Bose and the more pacifist supporters of Gandhi.
Labor activism rose- unionization spread to beedi, pottery and saw-mill workers.
INC imposed a compulsory Hindi order that was suspended by protests from Madras.
Muslim League grew in influence, they called for a separate state for Muslims.
The Viceroy declared ,without consultation, that India was at war against Nazi Germany. It granted Britain extraordinary powers to suppress dissent, restrict civil liberties and mobilize resources for their war effort. Ministers resigned, there was widespread anger and resentment.
The 1940s was when the Independence Movement grew unstoppable. The Quit India Movement was launched. Several of the top leaders were arrested and jailed for years. Younger grassroots leaders emerged organizing underground movements. Lakhs of people were arrested, INC was banned and the British organized public flogging and other violent means to disperse the crowds.
In some places like Ballia (U.P), Tamluk (Bengal) and Satara (Maharashtra) protestors overthrew the British and established temporary governments.
The Bengal Famine was a result of the 'scorched earth policy' of Britain against the Japanese attack from the Eastern border. British administrators confiscated food and transport, including boats, from the populace in Bengal so that in the event of a Japanese attack the attackers would have no access to these resources.
Combined with the large scale shipment of food to the UK warehouses, it was a horrific genocide. One to which Winston Churchill is said to have commented "They breed like rabbits anyway." And when informed of the large number of people dying, he asked "So why is Gandhi still alive?"
We saw two terrible years of violence 1946 and 47, over the partition of India. The echoes of which reverberate until now. In 1947 in the backdrop of what should have been a joyous moment , we saw 15 million people undertake perilous journeys across the newly formed borders. 2 million or more lost their lives in the violence.
Gandhi was assassinated.
560 princely states were added to the Indian Union. Our Constitution was formed. From being a dominion, we became a sovereign, democratic, republic.
The Supreme Court, Election Commission and Planning Commissions were established.
We saw the first elections, first Lok Sabha and the first Census.
India successfully designed and built its first indigenous aircraft, the Hindustan Trainer-2 (HT-2), at Hindustan Aircraft Limited (HAL) in Bangalore. HAL also repaired and maintained British and American warplanes.
India's medical unit the 60th Para Field Ambulance treated lakhs of casualties of the Korean War.
IITs, TIFR, Indian Atomic Commission, Saha Institute of Nuclear Physics were set up. Indian Airlines was launched.
Indian Aluminium Company, Mahindra and Mahindra, Tata Motors, Bajaj Electricals, Asian Paints, Wipro, BASF and Ashok Leyland were companies founded.
We saw the launch of Amul and the success of the co-operative model in business. That inspired the launch of Lijjat Papad some years down the line.
Labor protests, however, grew around the country. Especially in the regions of Bengal and Kerala. 22 people of the Communist Party were killed in police firing.
Andhra Pradesh became the first state to be formed on the basis of language, that led to the state reorganization a few years later.
What's In Store For Us Now?
Pluto is a planet that rules power, explosive power, transformation and the deep unconscious mind.
In the previous cycle of Pluto being OOB 1938-1953, its declination was in the North.
This time around from 2025-2035, Pluto's declination is in the South.
When it was in the North, we saw the unrestrained rise of fascists and dictators. We saw horrors that tore into the psyche of man. Power accumulated in the creamy layer on top. Policies divided people, were exploitative and left the majority of the world poor. Capitalism seemed to work only for the people who stole the capital in the first place. Some people say, we must admire them for their intelligence and power. Power, however corrupts. And absolute power corrupts absolutely.
This time around when Pluto is OOB in the South, the story will be written differently. It is the time of Revolution. I would say ' Inqilab Zindabad!' But then, I just learnt that, Umar Khalid, a student leader who was arrested in the CAA-NRC protests of 2019, was denied bail again in 2025. The Delhi High Court writes in his bail rejection that they object to his use of the words Inqilab Zindabad! 'Long Live The Revolution!'
Now Is A Time Like No Other
Pluto will not go OOB for the next 3000 years. We saw several protests erupt over the past few years. The protests against CAA-NRC, Farmers protests in India and around the world, uprisings in Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Burma etc. Previous revolutions like the Arab Springs, Occupy Wall Street etc were also organized. These revolutions saw mixed results. But they were the seeds sown for today.
In August 29th Indonesia erupted against exploitation and the callousness of the system, and some days later, Nepal burst forth in a youth uprising. These are the significators of this new era of the Revolution.
We are creating the landmark times of our history. And people will reclaim their power.
Inqilab Zindabad!
